A compact shaking water bath which uses the same belt-less motor drive system from the Orbi-Shaker™ Series. The heated bath provides precision temperature control up to 80°C.
The seamless, stainless steel chamber has a 12 liter capacity and includes a universal spring-loaded platform for securing 15 & 50 ml test tubes, as well as Erlenmeyer flasks and media bottles up to 1 liter. A hinged and removable lid is also included to reduce energy waste, prevent splashing and divert condensation away from samples.
Easy to use controls allow the user to digitally select and monitor time, temperature and shaking speed, while a constant monitoring system ensures accuracy over each parameter.
Optional test tube racks are available for microtubes.

Does the SB-12L Shaking Water Bath have a minimum fill volume?
Yes. There is a minimum fill line which is approximately 7 cm from the bottom of the chamber. Given the dimensions of the chamber, this equates to about 2.25 liters.
Can I use flasks with the SB-12L? Does it have a platform upon which to affix flask clamps?
Yes, you can use certain flasks, but there is no mechanism by which to use flask clamps. The SB-12L shakes the frame that springs are attached to. It is intended primarily for sealed, capped vessels, such as centrifuge tubes or media bottles.
